UPDATE: Jack and Nursery

Good news! I talked my doctor into scheduling my induction for Thursday because I didn't want to go to my appointment on Tuesday and all the spots for Thursday be filled up. I go in on Thursday, March 5 at 5:00 AM for the induction. There is a small catch....if I go in on Tuesday and my cervix hasn't softened and its not where she wants it to be, I'll have to wait a few more days. I will be doing lots of walking these next few days. Jack could possibly be here by the end of next week....I can't wait!

Jack's room is completely finished! The last pictures I posted of his room, were very bare. We finally got everything hung on the walls and a few of Jack's things placed around his room. Here are a few pictures.

Still No Change, Still Waiting

I went to my weekly doctor visit today and nothing has changed since last week...I still haven't dilated. My next appointment is scheduled for Tuesday, March 3 (my due date) and if I haven't gone into labor by then, she wants to induce. They only schedule inductions on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. So if I go in on Tuesday for my appointment, they could schedule my induction for Thursday, if there's a spot open. If Thursday is not available, I will have to wait until Monday or Tuesday. My doctor also said Jack weighs approximately 71/2 pounds...he's a big boy! Jack is still very active. It's amazing when I look down at my belly and see a heel poking through. He is a very happy boy in my belly!

38 Weeks and Waiting

I went back to the doctor today and not much has changed since my last visit. Jack has dropped a little more and is really low, but I still haven't dilated. He's still in position and ready to go, but it looks like he's taking his time. I talk to Jack everyday to let him know how ready we are for him to be here and for him to come at anytime...I guess he'll come when he's ready (sounds just like his daddy)!! This week is my last week to work at the office and next week I'll be working from home so I'm closer to the hospital. I'll keep everyone posted!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Instead of Larry sending me flowers to the office yesterday for Valentine's Day, he sent me a heart shaped pizza....I'm still cracking up! The pizza was actually very good and everyone got a kick out if it. No one is usually in the office, but when the pizza arrived everyone happened to be there and thought it was hilarious. He definitely knows how to make his pregnant wife happy...Jack and I LOVE pizza! He made my day and this is one Valentine's Day I will never forget!

Baby Shower #3 and #4

My close girlfriends, Jana, Lauren, Mandy and Tina, threw me a baby shower on Saturday, February 7, in The Woodlands. I had a blast and Jack got some great stuff! The shower was really nice and it was great to get all the girls together. Below are a few pictures from this shower.

Larry's aunt (Tia Silvia) threw me a baby shower on Sunday, February 8, in Deer Park. It was so nice to get together with all of Larry's family and close friends. I had a wonderful time and Jack got lots of great goodies!

We are so fortunate to have so many wonderful people in our lives who love and support us during this exciting time. Jack isn't even here yet, but he already has so many people who love him. I can't wait to introduce our little man to all these special people!!

No Change!

I went to the doctor today and nothing has changed since my last appointment...Jack is being stubborn! His head is down and he's in position but I still haven't dilated. I'm 37 weeks and Jack is considered full term so he is ready to come at anytime, but it looks like he'll be taking his time. His room is done, my bag is packed and we pretty much have everything we need for his arrival. We are so anxious and ready for our little guy to be here but I guess we'll have to wait a little longer. I know he will definitely be worth the wait! Here's a belly pic.

37 weeks

36 Weeks...Time Flies

I went to the doctor today for my weekly visit and nothing has changed but everything is right on track! I see my doctor next week and maybe something will change...waiting is driving me crazy! We did meet with our Pediatrician yesterday and we absolutely love her! I can’t believe how fast the time has flown by. It feels like yesterday that I just found out I was pregnant. I can’t wait for Jack to be here but I’m really going to miss him tumbling around in my belly. I’ve absolutely loved being pregnant, even though it was a little rough in the beginning and is getting a little uncomfortable in the end. We have been so busy and having tons of fun with showers, getting Jack’s room ready and preparing for our little guy’s arrival that January flew by! I can’t believe Jack will be here in 4 weeks…unless he decides to come early.

Baby Shower #2

A few of my aunts and cousins threw me a baby shower in Gonzales on Sunday. It was so nice and great to see and catch up with everyone. Jack got tons of great stuff....he is one lucky boy!
