Great Buy!

Since Jack loves playing in our dog's water bowl, we bought him a water table for outside and he loves it! He gets to splash and get water everywhere and Mommy doesn't have to clean it up. His clothes were completely soaked so I changed him into his swim trunks and he played in it for hours and had a blast!

Sick of being sick!

Our little guy had a rough weekend. I picked him up from school on Friday and he was running a fever. He woke up that night around midnight with a fever of 104 so we immediately called the doctor. He still wasn't feeling well that morning and I couldn't get his fever below 102, so we decided to take him to the Emergency Room. They took an x-ray of his chest and swapped his nose. Everything came back clear (thank God) but he still had an ear infection and it was now in both ears. They gave him a stronger antibiotic since the first one wasn't working. He was not a happy camper and it just broke our hearts! This morning, I took him in to see our pediatrician for a follow up. They swapped his nose and throat and tested him for the flu and strep throat. His flu test came back negative but the strep test came back positive. They gave him a Penicillin shot in the hip (that was not fun). The shot will start working right away and he should start feeling better by this evening.

Go Astros!!

Our very good friend, Marcus, threw out the first pitch at the Astros game on Sunday and invited Larry and a few of his other friends to go with him to the game. The guys got to meet and hang out with a few of the players. Larry got Jack a baseball signed by Hunter Pence. Jack really wanted to play with the baseball, but we only let him look at it. We didn't want him to smear the ink and mess up Hunter's autograph. Larry also got him a small wooden bat, a cap and a foam #1 fan finger. Here are a few pictures of Jack in his Astros gear.

Sick is "Yuck"!

We've had to take Jack to the doctor twice in two weeks. He's had a running nose, cough and nasal congestion for two and half weeks now. Last week, the doctor said it was viral and it would take about five days to run its course. We felt so bad for him! He coughs all night, has the hardest time breathing through his nose and we've been chasing him around with a box of Kleenex. He started running a low grade fever on Wednesday and wasn't getting any better, so yesterday we went back to the doctor. Come to find out, he has an ear infection in his left ear. The doctor put him on an antibiotic, which will help his ear and the congestion.

Jack has been so good through all this and hasn't skipped a beat! Every time I wiped his nose, I would say "yuck" and he started to repeat me. So now almost every time we wipe his nose he says "yuck"!

We went to the White Oak Estates Easter Egg Hunt this morning, which was by the lake in the back of our neighborhood. We practriced hunting eggs a few times this week but Jack didn't seem too interested in it. We were a little late to the egg hunt but Caden and Brooke were nice enough to share their eggs with Jack. Thank you Cay Cay and Sissy! We got some great pictures and he really enjoyed being outside.

I Heart Ice Cream!

The weather has been amazing this week so we decided to have lunch outside at Berryhills in Market Street. The food was great but the ice cream was even better! Jack and I shared an ice cream cone, but we had a hard time getting it away from him....he loved it!
