Weekly Doctor Visits

It's finally starting to set in that we're about to be parents to a precious little boy! We're so ready for Jack to be here but a little nervous about being parents. We want to do everything right but we feel like we don't know everything yet. I know everything will be fine but it's still a little scary! I went to the doctor today and everything is great! The doctor said Jack has dropped quite a bit but I'm still not dilated. It kind of freaked me out when the doctor said "Whoa, he's really dropped" but I'm happy to know he's starting to make his way out. She wants to start seeing me every week and my next appointment is on February 4. We have about 5 weeks to go but my doctor said he could come at anytime....you just never know!

A Gift From Daddy!

Larry came home yesterday with a gift for Jack. He bought Jack his very first guitar...not a baby or toy guitar, a real adult guitar! He was so excited about it he immediately put it in Jack's room. Jack won't be able to play it for awhile, but Larry wants it to be in his room so he can play for him whenever he wants. Jack is going to love it and hopefully it will come in handy when he can't fall asleep! Here's a picture of Jack's guitar!

Jack's Room

Finishing Jack's room took a little longer than we thought but its finally done and we love it!!! We still have some work to do but all the big stuff is done. I'm still waiting on the letters I ordered for Jack's name. I found a lady who will hand paint each letter to match his bedding. Hopefully, they will be here before Jack arrives.

Baby Shower #1

Our close friends Tiffany, Randy, Paige, Andy, Marlene, Matt, Rose and Mark threw us a Couple's Baby Shower on Saturday in Houston. We had a wonderful time and Jack got LOTS of great stuff! To get the guys involved, they played a game to see who could drink beer out of a bottle the fastest. It was hilarious! Larry got 2nd place...he was so close! 7 Weeks To Go!

We went to the doctor today and everything is great! The doctor said the heartbeat was good and I was right on track with my size. I've gained a total of 26 pounds (I almost fell out of my seat) but my doctor reassured me that it was perfect and I'm right where she wants me to be. The doctor felt around on my belly and could tell Jack's head was down. He will most likely stay that way since he is continuing to grow and running out of room to move around. Jack is still very active, especially at night. We're still working on his room but the paneling on the walls got painted yesterday. I should have pictures for you by next week!

Surprise!

I had a wonderful surprise when I got home from work on Thursday....Larry started on Jack's room! We have both been so busy on the weekends that we haven't had a chance to work on it. We still need to put Jack's furniture together but Larry started on the walls (he's the BEST!). We decided not to paint the walls and to leave the tan color but we added white paneling halfway up. The paneling still needs to be painted (the painter was suppose to come on Friday but rescheduled for next week) but so far it looks great! Larry put together Jack's bed and I put all the bedding on. We're going to work on the changing table/dresser and glider tomorrow. I just ordered some hand painted wall letters for Jack's name and they won't in for 6-8 weeks. Hopefully, we'll have everything done by next weekend because I'm really anxious to get his room finished! I'll post pictures once we're done.
