Easter 2012

We had a great Easter!  Last Sunday, a few of Jack's friends from school got together for an Egg Hunt and all the kiddos had so much fun!  The Egg Hunt was at Tyler's house (Jack's best friend), who lives in our neighborhood (a few houses down from us).  They had a bouncy slide, games and good food! We spent Easter weekend at my parents.  We went fishing, dyed eggs and had a small egg hunt.  Jack woke up Easter Sunday and found his Easter basket filled with lots of fun toys and goodies from the Easter Bunny.  He was very excited!!

Big Brother Jack!

Jack is going to be a Big Brother!  He is very excited and is requesting a "baby girl sister".  Baby #2 is due on October 15, 2012.  This first trimester has been tough....I thought it's suppose to be easier the second time around.  I've been nausea, my taste buds are off, I don't have an appetite and nothing sounds good.  At my second doctor's appointment, I lost 3 pounds and my doctor instructed me to eat every 2-3 hours.  I'm starting to feel better and my appetite seems to be coming back so I'm hoping the second trimester is a lot better!

We are very excited for our new addition and can't wait to meet him or her!  Here's the first picture of Baby #2 at 7 weeks and 1 day and a picture of a very proud Big Brother.

3 Year Check-Up

Jack had his 3 year check-up today.  The doctor checked him out from head-to-toe and he did everything she told him to do.  After checking him out, she said he looks great!!  He didn't have to get any shots and we were both very happy about that.  The doctor asked him about his birthday and he told her all about it and didn't leave one part out.  I'm sure this is a phase but Jack talks ALL THE TIME and will ask a lot of questions.  Everything is "Why, Mommy/Daddy?" or "What is that?" or "What's that for?".  I love that he is so curious!!

Jack is 3!!

Jack had a fun filled birthday weekend!  His actual birthday was on Friday.  He started the celebration at school with a small party with all his classmates.  After school, we continued celebrating at home with Mimi and Pop.  We had Jack's birthday party on Saturday at Pump It Up.  We had a great turn out with all his friends and Jack had a BLAST, and we enjoyed watching him and all his friends do a lot of jumping!  I still can't believe my baby is 3.  He's growing up way too fast, but he has grown into an amazing little boy that keeps us on our toes!  We look forward to celebrating many, many, many more birthdays with our favorite little guy!  Here are a few pictures from his birthday weekend.

M.I.A.

We have been Missing In Action but we're BACK!!  We've had a busy last few weeks and I haven't had a camera for a month, but finally ordered a new, fancy one and I can't wait for it to come in!  Jack will turn 3 a week from today and he is very excited about his birthday!  He's doing great in school and still loves it! He's really into sports (baseball, football and soccer), dinosaurs (he can name all of them, even dinos we've never heard of) and superheros.  We tie two blankets together to make a cape and he runs around the house yelling "superhero to the resue".  Maybe he will get a real cape for his birthday? We are thinking about putting Jack in t-ball in April and he will start back up with swim lessons in a few weeks. We're always very busy and always have something going on, but we wouldn't change it for anything...we love the craziness!

Shorty the Small Horse

Jack got an earlier birthday gift from Mimi and Pop....a small horse (named Shorty) and a saddle.  Is this kid spoiled or what?  Shorty is the perfect size for Jack and his saddle is so small and so cute!  On Saturday after his nap, Pop saddled up all the horses and we rode down to the fishing tank and had a pinic.  Jack talked about the pinic and Shorty all weekend!  We were leaving my parents house on Sunday and Jack said (in his sad voice) "I don't want to leave my horse".  It was so sweet and melted my heart!  If we could have fit Shortly in the truck, we would have taken him home with us. 

Christmas & New Years

We had a wonderful Christmas!  My parents and brother came over on Christmas Eve and Jack woke up to lots of gifts from Santa on Christmas morning.  Jack also woke up that morning and was not feeling well.  He was running a low fever, coughing, running nose and very congested.  He still enjoyed opening his gifts but we could tell he didn't feel that great.  We stayed in our pj's all day, watched movies and did lots of snuggling by the fire.

We had a few friends over to ring in the New Years and we all had a great time!  It was very relaxing, low-key and always so much fun!  We roasted marshmallows, made smores and had fireworks.  Jack loved the fireworks and sparklers.  He had so much fun that he stayed up until 12:30 am....we can't believe he stayed up that late!  2011 was a great year but we are looking forward to 2012!
