Jack's First Dentist Visit

Jack had his first visit to the dentist this morning and did really good for his first time!  He wouldn't sit in the chair so they had him sit in my lap and lay back.  He got his teeth cleaned and checked out by Dr. A.  Jack didn't have any cavities or stains and got an A+ on his report card!  Dr. A said everything looks great and gave Jack two big stickers and some goodies to take home.  Dr. A even gave me a big sticker that said "Super Mom".  We are both very proud!!!

Showing off his pearly whites!!!

Holding up his report card - so proud!!

Give yourselves a pat in the back! That first visit to the dentist is like a group effort. Both the parent and the child have to work hard; the child has to behave and the parent must be supportive to make the procedure easy.

Awesome post and awesome job! I remember my son's first dentist visit like it was yesterday. He was terrified at first but ended up doing great like Jack, Thank you for sharing this with us!

It's always interesting see how your child is going to react during his first dentist visit. My oldest had a really tough time sitting still and I still can't believe he made it through without losing his mind! I just took my youngest for their first visit to the dental office and she surprisingly di really well. She definitely loved the goody bag they gave her (even if it was just filled with teeth cleaning supplies!).

Who wouldn't be proud to have a boy like him! So cute and brave! I remember my daughter's first dental visit; it was not as good as Jack, but eventually she got used to it. The treats is what she found very tempting, and I hope my dentist will provide a “Super Mom” sticker as well! LOL!

Aww, you should be proud. Jake is adorable! I am so nervous about taking my daughter to the dentist for the first time. We just moved so we had to get a new dentist in San Antonio so I don't even have any kind of details to tell her to keep her calm because I haven't been there yet. I think I am in for a wild time!

It's important to get an early start on dental care, so that your child will learn that visiting the dentist is a regular part of health care.

Such a wonderful smile indeed! Jack seemed to have no trouble visiting the dentist the first time. How's his teeth now? I hope he retains those pearly whites! Taking time on your kid's dental health is a must because a good smile comes from a strong teeth. And having dental problems could lead to poor appetite, which could lead to malnutrition. Btw, thanks for sharing!
