Our little guy had a rough weekend. I picked him up from school on Friday and he was running a fever. He woke up that night around midnight with a fever of 104 so we immediately called the doctor. He still wasn't feeling well that morning and I couldn't get his fever below 102, so we decided to take him to the Emergency Room. They took an x-ray of his chest and swapped his nose. Everything came back clear (thank God) but he still had an ear infection and it was now in both ears. They gave him a stronger antibiotic since the first one wasn't working. He was not a happy camper and it just broke our hearts! This morning, I took him in to see our pediatrician for a follow up. They swapped his nose and throat and tested him for the flu and strep throat. His flu test came back negative but the strep test came back positive. They gave him a Penicillin shot in the hip (that was not fun). The shot will start working right away and he should start feeling better by this evening.
Relaxing and watching TV!
Yay, I think I'm feeling better!

Aw, poor Jack... that is the worst about starting school. It does get better, they just have to build up their little immune systems!
Aww! I'm so sorry Shelly! Reese had 5 ear infections within 2 months of starting school. They were talking about tubes, but she hasn't one since December. It will get better!!
