We met a few of Jack's friends from school at the pool on Sunday. This pool is perfect for little kids. Majority of the pool is shallow and has a huge play structure. The best part of it is the large slide in the back...they all hold hands and go down it together! The kids love it and always have so much fun together!

Q&A with Jack - Age 2
I saw this really fun post where you ask your child/children random questions. The kid's answers were hilarious so I decided to do it with Jack. I love all of his answers! He is so funny and I don't know where he comes up with this stuff. I had to ask the questions throughout yesterday and today because I couldn't get it done in one sitting. I plan to ask him the same questions each year to see how his answers change. I love this little guy!!
1. What is your name? "Jack Furman"
2. How old are you? "I'm 2." (holds up one and half fingers)
3. What's your favorite animal? "Peeto" (horse named Frito)
4. What is your favorite color? "Blue"
5. Who is your best friend? "Tyler Woooods"
6. What do you want to be when you grow up? "Tiger, ROARRR"
7. What is your favorite movie? "Cars"
8. What is your favorite book? "ummm, I'm a T. Rec" (T. Rex)
9. What makes you happy? "I'm happy!" (pointing to the big smile on his face)
10. What makes you sad? "I'm not sad, I'm happy!"
11. What is your favorite food to eat? "I like big noodles." (I think he meant cheese noodles.)
12. What is your favorite song? "Old MacDonald, ee-igh, ee-igh, oh" (and started singing the song)
13. What is your favorite sport to play? "Swimmin' lessons"
14. Where does Daddy work? "At work, he goes bye bye."
15. Where does Mommy work? "At home with Jack, on my cars."
16. What is your favorite dinosaur? "Triceratop, he got big horns." (I threw this last question in. I love hearing him say it...he knows every dinosaur.)

Galveston - Day at the Beach
Saturday we went to the beach for the day. Jack loved everything about it and had so much fun! He walked up and down the beach looking for seashells (and came home with a bucket full), loved jumping the waves, hanging out in the water and playing in the sand. Everytime a wave hit him, he started laughing and was ready for the next one. We all had a great time and look forward to going back!

Toddler Bed
We converted Jack's crib into a toddler bed on Sunday. I wanted to keep him in his crib for as long as I could but I knew it was time when his feet started getting stuck in between the bars (he's a crazy sleeper). He is very excited about his "big boy bed" (that's what he calls it) and is doing very well in it! He hasn't once come out of his room and doesn't even try to get out. I gave him a pillow to sleep on, hoping it would help him sleep straight and not all over the place. It worked...he stays on the pillow all night. He loves his new bed and we are so happy we made the change!

Bull Rider
The PBR (Professional Bull Riders) were in Gonzlaes this past weekend. Jack loves watching bull riding on TV so my parents wanted to take him to it. They had great seats (first row by the fence) and Jack loved it...he never left the fence! They even had an old, very calm bull with very big horns (named Oliver) for the kids to sit on and take pictures. My mom put him on the bull and he threw his hand up like a bull rider,

Surgery Day
Jack is doing so good! We arrived at the hospital at 6:30 am and the nurses took him back around 7:45 am. The doctor came out and got us at 8:25 am and told us all about his giant tonsils and even bigger adenoids (that was the doctors exact words). They burned through two lazer wands to remove his adenoids (most of the time they only need one). He's eating lots of ice cream, popsicles, pudding and jello and is also drinking lots of fluids. He is hooked up to an IV and has not even tried to pull it out. Even though he is doing so good, they still want us to stay so they can monitor him overnight. We will most likely be released tomorrow around 6:00 am. Until then, we are relaxing, watching lots of movies, coloring and playing games.

ENT Visit - Tonsils and Adenoids
We had Jack's appointment with the ENT Specialist this morning. Jack's tonsils are huge (the specialist let me take a peek)! He called them "kissing tonsils", when tonsils meet in the midline or overlap. It is unusual for tonsils to touch or meet in the midline without protrusion of the tongue. His adenoids are also very large and this is why he has a hard time breathing out of his nose and snores when he sleeps. We scheduled surgery to have both his tonsils and adenoids removed on June 21. Once they are removed, the specialist said he will be a new little boy!! Jack will have to stay one night in the hospital. All kids under the age of 4, must stay 23 hours after surgery. I know it's going to be a tough few days but if it will make our little guy stay well, it will be worth it.

Movin' On Up
At swim lessons on Tuesday, Jack's instructor tested him and decided he was ready to be moved up to the next class. He will jump to us from the step or the side of the pool, can blow bubbles and is not affraid to go under water, knows to kick his legs when laying on his tummy or back, can climb out of the pool without our help and can swim under water for a few seconds (while mommy or the instructor hold him, of course). He really enjoys swimming and we love watching our little fish!
Jack is also getting ready to move up to the next class at school, the Pre-School class. They will focus on potty training, which we are very excited about! Jack will use the potty every now and then. Right now we're not pushing him to do it. We have been waiting for him to transitiion to his new class so we can really start the training process and keep it consistent. We're also happy that Jack's good friends, Tyler and Diego, will be moving up with him (Marianna moved up a few weeks ago and Matilda and Sophie will be joining them in a few weeks). Jack loves and talks about his friends all the time so we're glad they are keeping them together!
Jack wanted to continue swimming after his lessons so he jumped in his pool at home!
