Four Goals

Jack scored four goals at his soccer game on Saturday!  I was one proud mommy!  He did great and played very well.  He passes the ball (most of the time) to his teammates, he steals the ball from his opponents and when he's not playing, he is cheering on his team.  I love watching them play and look forward to it every Saturday!

First Soccer Game

Jack had his first soccer game on Saturday.  He was a little hesitant (and stubborn) at first, but after watching the other boys for a few minutes, he got right in there and played the rest of the game.  I wasn't able to be there but Larry and my Mom were there to cheer him on.

His team's name is Texas Tigers. The team practices once a week and has a game every Saturday. His best friend, Connor, is on his team. Jack and Connor love to wrestle with each other.  Maybe we should sign them up for wrestling when soccer is over!

Jack's Last Year in Pre-K

I'm so late posting this but I wanted to share so we would have this to look back on.  Last week Jack started his first day of school in the Pre-K class.  Jack is still attending The Woodlands Young Learners Academy and loves it!  He is in a new classroom and has new teachers.  Jack was so excited about going to a new class.  On the first week of school, he woke up every morning and said "Prrrree-KKKK".  This will be his last year in Pre-K and next year he will go to Kindergarten.  Here's a picture of Jack on the first day of school.

Taylor's Baptism

Taylor was baptized last Sunday (sorry, I'm a week behind on posting).  Taylor's Godmother is my best friend Tiffany and her Godfather is Larry's brother, John.  There was a nice ceremony at the church and then we had everyone over to our house for a late lunch.  It was a very special day for our sweet girl!

Annual River Trip

We had our annual river trip with my family this past weekend.  Jack loved playing in the water, jumping from rock to rock, pouring water on Taylor, throwing water balloons and tubing down the river with Daddy.  Taylor enjoyed being outside, loved splashing in the water, enjoyed shopping in Gruene and laughed every time Jack poured water on her  We always have a great time and look forward to it every year!

Also, Taylor turned 10 months on Friday!  I can't believe she will be one in two months....she's growing up way too fast!

Orange Belt

Jack earned his orange belt today!  He was so excited (if you can't tell from the first picture).  There were certain moves he was tested on and he did great!  He was also asked by the instructor to be the leader....that made his day!  The leader leads the class and tells everyone what to do next.  He got to tell everyone to "Set", which means to stand very still with your hands by your side.  The class also had to say "Yes Sir" to him.  Jack was on top of the world!  We are so proud of him and look forward to his next graduation!

A Day at the Beach

We went to Galveston for the day on Saturday.  Jack loves the beach and Taylor's first beach experience was great!  She loved the water and if we looked away for one second, she had a mouth full of sand.  My mom came into town and it was her birthday on Sunday, so she enjoyed spending her birthday weekend at the beach with the kids.  My brother and Michael also met us down there.  The weather was perfect and we all had a great time!!

And by the way, Taylor is officially crawling.  She started somewhat crawling last weekend and by Wednesday she was in full crawling mode.  Yay!!!

Taylor - 9 Month Check-Up

Oh how time flies!  I can't believe my baby girl is 9 months old.  She had her check-up yesterday morning and is doing great!

  • Weight - 16 lbs 4 oz (10%)
  • Height - 28 in (50%)
She didn't have to get any shots but had to get her finger pricked.  She didn't even cry!  The nurse and I had our eyes closed waiting for her to scream and she didn't make a peep.  Taylor can wave bye bye and loves to talk, laugh and smile! She's not crawling and doesn't seem to have any desire to do it.  She gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth and can move from all fours to the sitting position and from the sitting position to all fours.  She's never been a big fan of being on her stomach.  She likes to stand or sit so she doesn't miss anything.  She loves being in her walker and runs around the house chasing after Jack and the dogs.  Hopefully she'll decided to crawl in the next week or so....she's very close!!

Jack & Mommy Day

Larry went to the lease on Saturday to start getting ready for hunting season.  His lease is in Gonzales so he took Taylor with him and she spent the night with my parents.  Jack and I stayed behind and spent the whole day together.  We went to the pool, went to his favorite store, The Red Store (Target) and got a new firetruck, ate dinner at his favorite restaurant, Chick-Fil-A and watched a movie at home and ate popcorn.  We missed Taylor Bug but it was nice to spend the day together and do a few of Jack's favorite things.  We had a great time!!

4th of July!

We had a great and busy 4th of July week/weekend!  Thursday we went to a friends house for dinner and fireworks.  It was nice and very low key. Jack loved the fireworks and sparklers (I completely forgot to take pictures).

Friday morning we met Jack's best buddy, Connor, at a splash pad near his house. Jack had so much fun and we enjoyed relaxing and catching up with Connor's mom and dad.  Taylor had a great time as well with Connor's little sister, Allie.  They played and Allie even helped me feed Taylor a bottle.  Allie was a big help and was loving every minute of it!

Friday evening, we headed to a friend's ranch and stayed there until Sunday.  We fished, went swimming, relaxed and enjoyed our time with good friends!

When we got back into to town on Sunday, Jack and I went to the movies.  He's been asking to see Despicable Me 2.  I love movie dates with my little guy!
