Monday was Jack's first day of school. Larry and I have always wanted to put him in a school or some sort of program around age 1 so he could socialize with other children his age, learn and have lots of fun! After touring a few schools and talking to a few people, we decided on The Children's Courtyard, and we are very happy with our decision. Jack is doing really good! He was a little shy at first but today it seemed as if he had been there for months...he fits right in! When I drop him off in the mornings, he wants down with the other children and doesn't care I'm leaving. Jack is adjusting to just one nap a day and is doing pretty good. As soon as he is done eating lunch and see's his blankie on his mat, he lays down and goes striaght to sleep. He is usually tired and a little fussy by the end of the day but so far so good. He only goes to school three days a week....I'm not quite ready to give up my two days at home with my little guy!
Below are a few pictures of Jack's first week at school. The quality isn't that great because I copied them from a video. Every classroom has a camera in it, and parents can log on to a website and watch there children throughout the day. I'm so curious to see what he's doing, I'm always on it!

Let's Party!!
We had Jack's 1st Birthday Party at our house yesterday. Since Thursday, Jack has been a little under the weather and running a low-grade fever from the shots he got at his check-up, but he was a trooper, and that didn't stop him from having fun at his party! The bouncie castle we rented for the kids, was a hit! Thank you to all the wonderful family and friends who came over to celebrate and made his day so special!

12 Month Check-Up
Jack had his 12 month check-up yesterday and here are his stats.
• Weight - 20 lbs. (10-15%)
• Height - 30 1/2 inches (50-75%)
He also got a round of shots, which were not fun. We're now able to start him on milk...no more formula! We're trying to cut back to one nap a day since he starts school on Monday. His class only takes an afternoon nap, but Jack is not wanting to give up his morning nap so I'm not pushing it. I'm sure his teachers and the other children will keep him very busy at school and he won't even miss that morning nap (I'll keep you posted on how he does). We had some pictures taken for Jack's 1st birthday. Here are a few of our favorites.

Addy's Birthday Party
Here are some pictures from Addy's birthday party on Saturday at The Little Gym. We had so much fun and all the kids loved it! Jack and Addy have the same birthday and are one year apart in age. Jack was upset that he didn't get a picture with the birthday girl...maybe next year. Happy Birthday, Addy!

This is a picture of Jack sitting at the table with the big kids...he did so good! He ate all his gold fish, shared a cupcake with Mommy, drank a juice box (for the first time) and then squirted his juice box all over the girl sitting next to him. Ooops!

Happy 1st Birthday, Jack!
I can not beleive Jack was born one year ago today (at this exact time). This has been the best year of our lives...challenging at times, but I wouldn't change one thing about it! It's been so amazing to watch Jack grow and change everyday. We have cherished every moment with him...from the first time we held him to the first steps he took. We look forward to making more wonderful memories with our precious little boy! Happy Birthday, Jack! We LOVE you so much!!

Very Sad Day
Our little dog Clyde passed away this morning. He started feeling bad on Monday so we took him to the vet. He was acting the same way he did when his back went out. The vet checked him out and gave him a steroid shot. He wasn't feeling any better so we took him back in and at this point we knew it wasn't his back. The vet took blood and ran some tests. He had some internal bleeding and the vet wanted to keep him and monitor it. I called first thing this morning to check on him and the vet told me the bad news. After getting the blood work back, the vet thinks he had another disk rupture on the top of his back, which lead to respiratory failure. We did everything we could and the vet kept him very comfortable. I just feel so bad that he had to go through this.
For those of you who knew Clyde, know that he was fun, loving and very loyal. Even after his back surgery in October and not getting all the feeling back in his back legs, he still loved life and was always so happy, especially when Larry walked in the door. Clyde and Larry were best buds! We now know he is in Doggy Heaven and loving it. We love him so much and we're going to miss him like crazy!

Look at Jack go!
Jack is becoming quite the little walker! He's walking more and more each day and crawling less. He tries so hard to stand up by himself but can't quite do it, so he'll crawl to the nearest coffee table, window ledge, etc and pull himself up. Here's an updated video of Jack walking...this is the longest he's walked without falling.

One more month...
until Jack turns 1! I can't believe my baby boy is 11 months old today! He's no longer a baby and has grown into a handsome little man. Jack has such a fun and loving personality! He's doing very well at walking and should be a full-time walker by his 1st birthday. He still falls a lot but gets right back up and tries again. He's very socialable and will go to anyone. He is an amazing little boy and we are so thankful everyday to have him in our life! Below are a few new things Jack is doing, some pictures and a video of him walking.
* Loves to walk without our help
* Can stand without support
* Says "Uh Oh" when he drops something
* Climbs on and off of everything
* Eats only table/finger foods...no more baby food
* Favorite foods - grilled cheese, french toast, chicken
* Loves to open and close doors
* Gets into our recycling bin and plays with the plastic bottles
* Loves to play peek-a-boo in the curtains
All smiles for the camera!
Look at my top teeth...he now has a total of 5.

He Did It!!
Jack took 3 steps all by himself! He loves to climb on and off his chair and will do it 50 times a day. Well, last night after his bath, he climbed on his chair, scooted down until his feet were touching the floor, stood up and walked straight to me with a big smile on his face! He's been a little scared to take a few steps on his own but now that he knows he can do it, he did it over and over and gets so excited. This morning he even took a few steps from the coffee table to the couch! Our little guy is well on his way to walking and we couldn't be prouder!

Future Baseball Player
Jack loves baseballs or any other kind of ball. Pops taught Jack how to roll the ball back and forth, and now he does it all the time! When he can't find one of his balls, he lays on the ground and looks under the couch and TV stand...its so cute! Here are pictures and a video of our future baseball player.
Eating lunch with his baseball...he wouldn't let go of it!
Where's my baseball?
